❌ Prohibited Uses

• AI-generated abstracts, conclusions, or core content.
• Fabricated data or analysis.
• AI-generated visuals.

📢 Disclosure

Must be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments (e.g. “Proofread using [AI Tool Name] for clarity.”)

For Reviewers

✅ Permitted Uses

• Refining grammar/formatting.
• Checking references and factual accuracy.

❌ Prohibited Uses

• No AI evaluation of core content.
• Do not share manuscript text with AI.

🛡 Responsibilities

• Report AI misuse (fabrications, etc.).
• Maintain confidentiality.

For Editors

• Workflow monitoring and polished communications.

❌ Prohibited Uses

• No AI-based decision-making or content drafting.
• Editorial letters must be human-reviewed.

• Verify author disclosures.
• Ensure fairness and rigor in review.

Ethical Considerations

AI may hallucinate—that is, produce convincing but false info. All parties must validate AI-influenced content, respect privacy, and mitigate bias.

Consequences of Non‑Compliance

• Authors: Rejection or retraction.
• Reviewers: Removal from pool.
• Editors: Investigation and discipline.
